Description
My artistic work is varied, ranging from painting to digital prints, including screen printing and cyanotype. Across all these media, there is always one idea that drives me: “to reinterpret the beauty of the nature around me by absorbing the emotions I feel and want to convey, as well as the light that allows things to be perceived.” Often inspired by an image, I let myself be influenced by references in art history or guided by where the composition leads me, in order to find a way to translate this image into a pictorial language. My goal is not to reproduce reality but to reinterpret it, bringing light and color to the world. I hope to evoke positive emotions in those who view my work, allowing them to take a break from their daily life and recharge.
Biography
I am a Brussels native who spent her childhood in Warsaw, immersed in the two cultures of my parents. During my schooling, I followed an artistic training in a preparatory workshop at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. I eventually chose to pursue university studies in law in Belgium, setting aside my artistic aspirations. After years of practicing law, my artistic side caught up with me. I was able to give it free rein first through illustrations at the Comic Book Illustration Workshop of the Etterbeek Academy, then in painting at the Watermael-Boitsfort Academy. To satisfy my curiosity and realize my wildest projects, I attend the experimental practices, multiple images workshop at the School of Arts in Braine-l’Alleud. I have presented digital prints since November 2023 at the Saint Martin’s Day festivities, and in collective exhibitions at the Espace Découverte “Cactus” and as part of “Let’s art Brussels.”
