Description

I would like to present my project titled “Tomorrow the Sun Will Rise, as It Has Since the Dawn of Time,” which I have already had the opportunity to realize at the Église du Gesù in Brussels. It is a performative work aimed at altering the rhythm and course of time, this time through the bells of the Sainte-Croix church in Ixelles. This performance involves ringing the church bells to play the title of the work in Morse code. Through this sound intervention, I aim to create a poetic break in the daily lives of listeners, inviting them to reflect on the passage of time and our relationship with it. By playing with the temporal and spatial perceptions of sound, “Tomorrow the Sun Will Rise, as It Has Since the Dawn of Time” seeks to highlight our relationship with time and existence.
